Coaching

With over 10 years of industry experience, I’m a former collegiate runner, holding a BS in Community Health Education, a Masters of Public Health (MPH), and a Masters of Applied Clinical Nutrition. I’m a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBHWC) and working to become a Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach (DPP).

My passion is helping others make healthy lifestyle change. In such, coaching is a time for you to connect to your values, envision your most optimal self, and for us to journey towards creating that true self vision.

Former clients report coaching helped them to feel greater sense of self-efficacy, greater sense of control, and found new skills and tools to reach their vision through working together. In our coaching sessions, we’ll take a holistic mind, body approach in finding skills and inner knowledge to take action towards reaching your goals.

Common lifestyle areas I coach to often include: Nutrition/sport/nutrition/recovery; Supplements; Energy and vitality; Exercise/movement; Weight management/weight loss/weight gain; Coexisting with stress; Sleep habits; Chronic condition management (diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, etc); Meditation/mindfulness/connection to spirit & higher power; Relationship building; Setting boundaries; Career visioning; Building work/life balance; Basic finance

I spent 8 years as a full-time corporate wellness health coach, working with a case load of over 200 clients a month. I have over 10 years of health education study and practice under my belt – I’ve done the work and want to share my knowledge and experience with you. I’m excited to journey with you to discover the more optimal, thriving YOU.

Devin Harwood

Devin completed his 600 hour massage therapy training at the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis, and became a certified massage therapist (CMT) in the Spring of 2013. There he was introduced to many different massage and bodywork modalities that helped him to navigate what his own personal “style” is.

His style is a mix of relaxation and therapeutic bodywork, blending many styles from: Deep Tissue, Craniosacral, Thai Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish Massage, and many more. Each session is customized to the individual to help address whatever your health and wellness needs may be!

His work is first and foremost grounded in calming, observing and adapting to the individuals nervous system; that which dictates all aspects of our lives. He believes that “deep” work doesn’t have to be painful to be effective and that addressing the whole opposed to one specific area can help to release years of pent up stagnation.

He proudly offers Pre-Natal work and is honored to be apart of your progression and to offer relief throughout your pregnancy.

Devin enjoys: Winter, snowboarding, cooking, Tolkien, learning about philosophy, sociology and psychology, period dramas, trashy, early 2000’s reality TV, music, and spending time with his cat son, Frankenstein.

Techniques: Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Sports, Injury/Chronic pain, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping (static), Pre-Natal, Relaxation (Swedish), Craniosacral Therapy, Structural Integration, Thai stretching and compression, Himalayan Salt Stone, TMJ work, Aromatherapy

Devin is proficient in all areas of bodywork but especially loves working on hip and glute issues as well as TMJ and neck

I was born and raised in Apple Valley, MN. Growing up, my life revolved around sports and playing basketball, football, and track. During undergrad, I attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where I played football and graduated with a B.A in Sports and Exercise Science. After accumulating multiple injuries related to football, chiropractic treatments helped me recover and I have been using chiropractic care as a treatment ever since. Following undergrad, I moved to Davenport, IA where I attended Palmer Chiropractic College, graduating in 2020.
